According to former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed, Indian skipper Virat Kohli's troubles with making large runs in England are characteristic of any Asian batsman. In India's five-match Test series against England, Kohli has 124 runs in five innings at an average of 24.80.
"Kohli is an example of an Asian player who can succeed in Australia. He has a problem in locations like England and South Africa, or anywhere the ball swings or seams. Because he's prone to the controlled outswing, he'll chase the ball "On Paktv.tv's YouTube channel, Javed stated.

Kohli, on the other hand, appeared to have conquered his problems in England during India's most recent Test series there. Kohli scored 593 runs at an average of 57.85 in the five-match series. Kohli was also the leading run scorer in India's most recent Test series in South Africa in 2017/18, scoring 286 runs in three Tests in very difficult batting conditions.
In the present series, Kohli's England adversary Joe Root has been in outstanding form. Root has a century in every Test match so far, totaling 507 runs in five innings. Root's impenetrable defence, according to Javed, is allowing him to stay in the middle for longer.
"In these tough conditions, Joe Root's airtight technique makes him safer than Kohli because he knows how to play the ball late," he remarked.
