According to the government, India delivered more COVID-19 vaccine doses in August than all of the G7 countries combined.
According to a tweet from the center's official handle, MyGovIndia, the country administered over 180 million vaccine doses in August, which is more than all of the Group of Seven nations combined. The Group of Seven includes Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, and Japan.
According to data tweeted by MyGovIndia, Canada provided three million doses and Japan 40 million doses, the two lowest and highest levels among G7 nations, respectively.

The total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses given out in the country has surpassed 68.46 crore.
Today, the country reported 42,766 new COVID-19 cases.
Concerns have been raised about the coronavirus mutant Delta Plus. The authorities originally issued a warning about the Delta Plus variant, a new mutant version of the Delta strain of Covid discovered in India, in June, labelling it a "variant of concern."
