Stellar Performances by Imran Tahir, Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali Bode Well for Dhoni’s CSK Ahead of the IPL 2021 Phase 2

MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings team is expected to exhibit some great performances in the upcoming instalment of the Indian Premier League to be held in the United Arab Emirates.

The Indian Skipper’s team is not only acclimatized with the local conditions in the UAE having undergone rigorous training sessions there, but also have on board international players like Imran Tahir, Faf Du Plessis, Moeen Ali among others who are in stellar form and are all performing exceptionally well in whichever part of the world they are playing.

The South African star Imran Tahir, although is nearing the end of his career, is still one of the best the team has to offer, especially after Tahir’s recent performance at the T20 franchise cricket. Fans have been witnessing him in exceptional form, consistently picking up wickets not only at the Hundred but even now in the ongoing CPL 2021.

CSK fans are looking forward to seeing him work his magic in the Phase 2 of the IPL 2021 as the team could use his strengths especially as spin is likely to play a major role with the tournament returning to the UAE.

During the first phase of the tournament, Imran Tahir had played only in one of the seven matches that the CSK side had played. However, his recent exploits in international cricket will most likely make it difficult for the team to keep him out of the playing XI.

Opener for the Chennai team Faf du Plessis has also displayed amazing performances at the ongoing CPL 2021. He had recently smashed 120 runs off just 60 balls and returned unbeaten for the St Lucia Kings.

Yet another player whose performance with both the bat and ball augurs well for the CSK side is Moeen Ali. He is currently playing against India in a test series for England.

At the end of the first half of the IPL 2021, CSK is at the second position on the points table with Delhi Capitals leading the charts.
