New Delhi is the capital of India, but that is not always the case. The capital of British India was Kolkata but moved to New Delhi in 1911. The nationalist movement that arose in Kolkata was one of the reasons for the postponement, and it has been since then.

Another fascinating feature of this historic city is its gates. These gates were built by city rulers from the 8th to the 20th century. From ancient times to modern British times, the city gates are scattered all over the city and are a reminder of its history. Some of these gates are the Kashmir Gate, Laholi Gate, Delhi Gate, Ajmerli Gate, and India Gate, the most important landmark of modern times.
Karim in Delhi is one of the oldest restaurants in the country. In fact, it houses the original moghole cuisine, revenues are transmitted through generations. The story is that it was opened by a chef who was employed in the real cuisine of Bahadur Shah Zafar. Therefore, the recipes were directly from the cuisine of Emperor Mughal.
