Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for using the term ‘Abba Jaan’. Rahul took to social media and wrote, “Who hates, how is that Yogi (Jo Nafratkre, vo Yogi kaisa).”The UP top leader got back at him after the post was floated and tweeted back in Hindi that “if it is hate to bulldoze the empire of criminals and miscreants, then this hatred will continue unabated.”
Others on Yogi’s side like BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and wrote, “No one in politics takes Rahul Gandhi seriously. Jo dangaion se nafratkare, bhrashtacharion se nafratkare, aatankwadion se nafratkareaurdesh-pradeshkosurakshitkarewo Yogi hi hai (The one who hates rioters, who hates the corrupt, hates terrorists and secures the state and the country, that is Yogi). Maybe it wasn't taught to you in Congress' school.”

CM Yogi Adityanath has been under sharp criticism from several quarters recently over his “Abba Jaan” remark that was pointed at his predecessor AkhileshYadav who allegedly tried to appease the Muslims. On September 12, Yogi had said, “those who called Abba Jaan used to favour one community” and stated that such one-sided show would not be practiced by the BJP who would be indiscriminate in its distribution of ration.
Yogi’s allegations have been dubbed “communal and hateful” by the opposition including the Congress as well as J & K’s NC.
Taking his “Abba Jaan” remark a step further the UP chief minister continued to lash out at the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) and claimed that “Wherever the scorpion is, it will bite”. He urged the people of the state to re-elect the saffron party and did’nt stop short at hurling allegations at the Congress and SP stating they were pro-Taliban, casteist, dynastic and had even shot at Lord Ram's devotees.
Meanwhile the Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav, at whom the initial epithet of “Abba Jaan” was directed, said, “The BJP government is set to go. Hence the Chief Minister's language has changed. UP people want change. People want work done like was happening during the Samajwadi Party regime.”
