The Covid-19 pandemic has been sweeping the country for more than 18 months. When is it going to be over? There is still no apparent answer after so many restrictions, lockdowns, curfews, social isolation, mask-wearing, and immunizations. However, there are numerous signs/evidence from which some reasonable predictions about how the Coronavirus pandemic would evolve over the following year can be formed. According to the World Health Organization, roughly 4 million Coronavirus cases were reported worldwide last week, marking the first significant drop in new infections in more than two months (WHO). Weekly new cases have topped 4.4 million in recent weeks around the world. According to the WHO's weekly report, new Covid-19 cases decreased in every part of the world compared to the previous week.
After reporting fewer than 40,000 new Covid-19 cases for the previous seven days and fewer than 30,000 for the previous four, India saw 30,570 new Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections to 3,33,47,325, according to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday. The death toll from Covid-19 has risen to 4,43,928 with 431 new casualties. The number of active cases in India has reduced to 3,42,923, accounting for 1.03 percent of the country's overall infections, according to the health ministry.

Except for four states/UTs, all have witnessed a decrease in their seven-day average of cases, according to weekly study of Covid-19 instances. Kerala, which has been supplying the most (60-70 percent) to India's Covid-19 tally in recent weeks, has seen a dramatic dip in this seven-day average, dropping from 27,673 on September 8 to 20,079 on Wednesday. The average in Maharashtra, the second-largest contributor, decreased to 3,589 from 4,077 a week before.
As India's Covid-19 situation improves, the Delhi government said on Wednesday that public fairs and exhibitions will be permitted in the city beginning today. However, in order to control the spread of Covid-19, the West Bengal government has extended Covid restrictions till September 30 ahead of the festivals.
The Delta variety continues to cause problems for countries all around the world. The United States, Australia, and China have been fighting to keep it from spreading.
