Long-lasting Facebook leader Mike Schroepfer said on Wednesday that he was venturing down as the organization's central innovation official.
Schroepfer said in a Facebook post that veteran chief Andrew Bosworth, who heads up the web-based media organization's expanded reality and computer-generated reality endeavors, including items like its Oculus Quest VR headset, will assume control over the job in 2022.
Schroepfer, who is known as "Schrep" and went through 13 years at Facebook, said he would change to low maintenance job as the organization's first Senior Fellow at some point one year from now.
Bosworth, or "Boz," made Facebook's AR/VR Association, which was renamed Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) in 2020.
Other focal pioneers who have left the organization lately incorporate the top of Facebook's fundamental application, Fidji Simo, who left to become Instacart CEO, and worldwide promotions boss Carolyn Everson, who was employed as the beginning up's leader.
