CSK Regain Top Spot in IPL 2021 Points Table, RCB's Harshal Patel Consolidates

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by 54 runs in Match 37 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. Harshal Patel claimed a hat-trick. MI got off to a fast start in pursuit of a 166-run mark, but struggled to form partnerships after losing openers Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma. Harshal Patel then took four wickets to put an end to MI's chances and give his team a comfortable victory. He also increased his Purple Cap tally to 23 wickets, solidifying his position in the contest. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders earlier in the day.

 

Table of IPL 2021 Points

With 16 points after ten games, CSK is in first place in the rankings. They are followed by the Delhi Capitals (DC), who are in second place with 16 points from ten games but trail on net run rate.

RCB is in third place with 12 points, while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is in eighth place with 8 points.

With eight points, PBKS is in fifth place, followed by Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI), who are in sixth and seventh place, respectively.

With two points, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) sit at the bottom of the table.

Race for the Orange Cap

With 430 runs from ten games, Shikhar Dhawan is presently leading the Orange Cap race. KL Rahul, the captain of PBKS, is right behind him (401).

With 394 runs, Faf du Plessis is in third place. With 362 runs, Ruturaj Gaikwad is fourth, followed by Sanju Samson Agarwal (351).

 

Race for the Purple Cap

Harshal Patel of RCB has increased his lead in the Purple Cap race to 23 dismissals after his hat-trick against MI. He is followed by DC's Avesh Khan (15) and RR's Chris Morris (14) in second and third, respectively.

MI With 14 wickets, Jasprit Bumrah is in fourth place, followed by Arshdeep Singh (13).
