It’s kind of good news for the travelers that the state government of the state of Arunachal Pradesh has decided to reopen the state for tourists for developing the tourism industry in the state.  As per the latest reports travelers who have been vaccinated fully after having received both the Covid-19 approved vaccine doses shall be permitted to make an entry into the state. The state government has further issued an order declaring that Further, the state government also passed an order, stating that the issuing of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) or the Restricted Area Permit or the Protected Area Permit shall resume right away and with immediate effect under the rules and regulations currently in vogue.

What is the ILP?

ILP (Inner Line Permit) may be defined as an official traveling-related document usually issued to the Indian citizens, who are interested in visiting the restricted/protected locations or states including Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, and Nagaland for a limited time period.

Likewise, the Foreigner Act for Protected Area is needed by the foreign travelers for obtaining a Protected Area Permit (PAP) in order to visit a couple of areas in the country, including Arunachal.

Itanagar

Itanagar, also referred to as the land of dawn-lit mountains is the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. Itanagar is the state’s cultural hub. It is a much under-rated tourist destination of the country. The charming town of Itanagar is located on the Himalayan foothills. The two key attractions of Itanagar are Ita medieval fort and Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum. The museum exhibits handicrafts and textiles.

 

Tawang

Tawang is Arunachal Pradesh’s highest point. It houses the Tawang Monastery, the largest in India. It is located about 448 km north-westward of Itanagar, the state capital, and is perched at an altitude of about 3, 048 meters.

 

Ziro Valley

If you are a nature lover, Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh is the place for you. It is surrounded by little, quaint, hilly towns. It also consists of rice paddies and verdant green forest covers.

 

Along Valley

This amazing vale is surrounded by small hamlets steeped in culture and history. In this valley, several ethnic tribes of the region reside. Spending time with them is indeed an out-of-the-world experience and is a must-try.

 

Nandapha National Park

For wildlife lovers, this is indeed a must-to-visit place. You can even spot tigers in this park apart from other rare animal species.
