Karnataka added 406 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases and deaths to 29,81,027 and 37,885, respectively, according to the state's health department.
637 patients were discharged on the same day, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 29,32,959. According to a Health Department notice, there were 10,154 active cases.
Bengaluru Urban had the most instances with 156 and five deaths, according to the report.
With 56 new infections and one fatality, Mysuru was the second greatest COVID-19 hotspot.
Other districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, 18 in Udupi, 13 in Tumakuru, 12 in Uttara Kannada, and 11 apiece in Mandya, Shivamogga, and Chikkamagaluru, also reported new cases.
Belagavi, Dakshina Kannada, Tumakuru, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada each reported one death.
Zero infections and COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Bidar, Chikkaballapura, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Vijayapura, and Yadgir.
According to the bulletin, twenty-five districts reported no fatalities.
On Sunday, a total of 1,14,365 samples were tested in the state, bringing the total number of specimens analysed to 4.88 crore.
According to the report, the total number of vaccinations administered in the state has risen to 5.9 crore, with 1,57,197 persons receiving immunizations on Sunday.
