Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday called on the international community to ensure that the Afghan territory does not become a source of radicalization and terrorism and called for a joint global response to achieve the desired change in that country.
In a virtual speech at the G20 Extraordinary Summit on Afghanistan, Prime Minister Modi also called for "urgent and unimpeded" humanitarian aid to Afghan citizens and stressed the need for inclusive governance in the country. he said that a unified international response based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 2593 was needed to improve the situation in Afghanistan.
