Ratan Tata announced Rs 500cr donation for Covid 19 struggle & said this
'One of the toughest challenges that the human race will face'

Ratan N Tata, the Chairman of Tata Trusts announced a contribution of Rs 500 crore in order to tackle Covid-19 pandemic on Saturday. He said that Covid-19 is “one of the toughest challenges that the human race will face”. “Tata Trusts and Tata group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater”, added Ratan Tata.
Tata stated that the present crisis in India and across the world is of the highest concern that calls for an urgent action. The amount contributed is the highest as of now, made by an Indian. This money would be used for all the medical expenses, keeping in mind, both the docors and nurses working on the frontline, and the infected patients.
Tata Group had already made up the mind to pay full salary to all their employees even if they failed to report for work because of Corona outbreak, even before the outbreak escalated.
