COVID-19 Outbreak has urged many celebs, businessmen, sportsmen to donate funds to the government. Everybody wants the aid to reach to the poor and the afflicted. In such a situation when hefty donations in Crores are flying in from the moneyed and the privileged, we often tend to ignore the donations offered by common people.


But, this one news will definitely cause all of us to stand up in honor of Salbha Uskar; a senior citizen, aged 82 years, who tried her best to help humanity in this hour of crisis. Salbha is from the Vidhisha City of Madhya Pradesh and is a pension earner & retired employee. As a selfless and sincere gesture to help government fight the battle against Coronavirus, Salbha Uskar donated an amount of Rs 1 Lakh from the pension she is drawing. She donated the amount to the Relief Fund of Madhya Pradesh CM in response to an appeal from the CM; she came across in the Newspaper.


In a statement made to the Public Relations Department, Salbha Uskar said that in view of the current start of affairs, she decided to help by donating the funds. She also urged people to respect the government orders for lockdown. Her speech was recorded in a Video which was then shared by Madhya Pradesh CM, Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Twitter with the caption ‘Maa Tujhe Salam’. Chouhan added that his confidence to fight against Coronavirus is now boosted after getting the precious blessings of Uskar whom he addresses as ‘Mother’.
