Donald Trump calls India FRIENDS
Thursday, 9th April 2020
U.S President Donald Trump who had warned Indian government of retaliation a day or two back now speaks in a different tone calling India as ‘Friend’. This new, friendly tone of Trump is but the result of the export of 29 million Hydroxychloroquine doses from India to America. On this Wednesday Trump said in a ‘Thank You’ speech for the Indian government that when times are extraordinary, closer cooperation are needed between ‘friends’ hinting at the ‘friendship’ he hopefully wishes to establish with India after this. He told to the media that India’s help in the matter of HCQ ‘will not be forgotten’.
Hydroxychloroquine is a drug formulated specially for treating ‘Malaria’. This particular drug has been found effective in treating Coronavirus as well. During his regular White House News Conference, Donald Trump specially thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for responding to his ‘request’ and helping him readily. He added that Modi’s act of friendliness towards America and kindness towards humanity will be remembered always.
So, the tussle that was cooking up ended on a positive note. Now, we are to see in what way the ‘friendship’ Trump talked about flourishes in the near future…
