Telangana villager ties masks around the muzzles of his goats
Thursday, 9th April 2020
Recently a goat owner in Telengana tied masks to the muzzles of his goats in an attempt to protect his animals from the attack of the virus. He did so after learning about a tiger in the Bronx Zoo of New York that tested COVID-19 positive. The news made him feel that if a tiger could not be spared, how his goats could be.
This man, A Venkateshwara Rao is a resident of Telengana’s Kallur Mandal village in the Khammam district. He own 20 goats and has no farming land now. He is dependent on those goats for his livelihood. After he learnt about the Coronavirus outbreak, he never steps out of his house without wearing a mask…and now he goes a little ahead by making his animals wear masks too.
The tiger ‘Nadia’; a Malayan tiger in the Bronx Zoo of New York (U.S) is said to have contracted the infection from a zoo caretaker who, though infected, was asymptomatic.
