Indian Flag projected on Mount Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps
Switzerland makes a gesture of support for India

Switzerland, known for its marvellous scenic beauty, has expressed its solidarity with regard to India in the country’s battle against COVID-19. To express its outlook, Switzerland projected the tricoloured Indian Flag, over 1000 meters in its size, on the famed Matterhorn Mountain perched in the famed Swiss Alps to give the Indians strength and hope against this battle against the Coronavirus.
Gerry Hofstetter; the light artist of Switzerland had applied his skills in illuminating the pyramidal peak of Matterhorn rising up to an elevation of 4, 478 meters and straddling between two countries; Switzerland on one hand and Italy on the other. Apart from India, flags of other countries too have been flashed on the mountain conjuring up a spectacular nightly display intended to support every nation in this battle against Coronavirus.
In their official Facebook page, the Tourism department Zermatt Matterhorn talked about the challenges a populous and large country like India is facing in battling against the deadly virus and also talked about the support and hope they are trying to give to India.
