Heart is considered as the seat of life. As long as the heart beats, you are alive and when it does not, it’s over with you…So; heart is one of the most vital organs of the human body. Today heart disease is one of the commonest lifestyle ailments and may affect even younger age groups like the ones in their 30’s and 40’s. Gone are the days when heart disease was considered as an age-related ailment. Number of heart cases in India has almost doubled across the past two decades and stats show that heart diseases are one of major causes of premature mortality in India.
Lack of awareness of the symptoms of heart attack among the people is one of the biggest problems faced by the Indian health sector. By the time, the patient party realizes that the chest pain a patient is experiencing isn’t the pain of heartburn (acidity) or indigestion it might be too late.
