Turmeric is India’s one of the healthiest and mostly used medicinal spices. India is one of the largest producers and consumers of turmeric. It belongs to the family of ginger and its leaves and roots are edible parts. Turmeric was introduced to Europe in 13th century by Arab traders.

  1. Add a pinch of turmeric with a small piece of ginger in a glass of warm water.
  2. Mix one teaspoon of honey with turmeric powder.
  3. Add turmeric powder to warm milk (or cold milk).
