200 casualties and 8 dead

There was a gas leak from chemical Plant of LG Polymers India Pvt Ltd in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh which claimed the lives of eight people including a child and 200 people have been admitted to hospital.
People living in the proximity of RR Venkatapuram suffered from breathing difficulties and burning sensation in the eyes, reported officials. They were immediately taken to hospital.
Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation wrote on Twitter, “There is gas leakage identified at LG Polymers in Gopalpatnam. Requesting Citizens around these locations not to come out of houses for the sake of safety precautions”.
Visuals show people carrying the victims and putting them in the ambulances. In the background, an industrial siren is heard. The victims are waiting for the ambulances. 10 people are lying on the ground in the clip taken by the rescuers. In another video, a woman suddenly collapses on the footpath.
“Spoke to officials of MHA and NDMA regarding the situation in Visakhapatnam, which is being monitored closely. I pray for everyone's safety and well-being in Visakhapatnam”, PM tweeted.
Hindustan Polymers was taken over by South Korean LG team and was called LG Polymers India later on.
