Raiharh, Chattisgarh: Poisonous gas at a paper mill makes seven workers sick

Some poisonous gas was released at a paper mill in Raigarh, Chattisgarh on Thursday, police said. Seven workers have fallen ill.
Superintendent of police of Raigarh, Santosh Singh stated, that the affected were cleaning an open tank at Shakti Paper Mill, Tetla village.
The event came to light only after the hospital authorities reported to police and the owner had not revealed about the same. As the mill was closed during the lockdown, the cleaning work was ongoing in order to reopen the mill.
The condition of three workers became critical and they were shifted from a local hospital to Raipur.
For further investigation, a forensic team was dispatched, Singh stated, and then a case will be filed.
