States that have recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases

5,242 new cases have been recorded in 24 hours, making the total number of cases standing at 96,169 with a death toll of 3,029, this morning. The recovery rate stands at 38.29%, with 36,824 patients successfully recovered, according to the Health Ministry. State-wise record of corona positive cases is as follows:
- Maharashtra crosses 33,000, reporting 2,347 cases in one day. Maharashtra is followed by Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Delhi in recording the highest number of cases until now.
- Over 10,000 positive cases have been recorded in Delhi up until now, with 721 cases in one day.
- 639 cases have been recorded in Tamil Nadu in last 24 hours, resulting in 11,224 cases as of now. 2,600 cases have been recorded in Chennai alone.
- In Assam, the total number of corona-positive cases has risen to 100, on Sunday.
- 24 people who arrived from Kuwait to Indore have tested positive in Madhya Pradesh, resulting in 4,977 cases as of now with a death toll of 248.
- The coronavirus figure now stands at 47,14,240 across the world with a total of 3,15,191 deaths. US alone, have reported 90,000 deaths, according to the reports of Johns Hopkins University.
