Get the relevant voting stats from today’s polls in West Bengal

In the state of West Bengal, the sixth phase of the Assembly elections among the eight different phases is being conducted today. Polling will continue until 6.30 pm at the 14, 480 polling booths in the state. The four districts of the state where polling is being conducted in the constituencies include Nadia district, North 24 parganas district, Purba Bardhaman district and Uttar Dinajpur district. The percentage of polling across these four districts at the different timings is given below:
West Bengal recorded polling percentage of 17.19% until 9.35 am
Nadia: 18.21 %
North 24 Parganas: 18.92 %
Purba Bardhaman: 18.92 %
Uttar Dinajpur: 18.85 %
West Bengal recorded polling percentage of 17.25% until 10.45 am
Nadia: 18.21%
North 24 Parganas: 15.02%
Purba Bardhaman: 18.92%

The poling began around 7 am today in the four district of the state. Poling was conducted across the 43 seats in total in those four districts. Elections are being conducted in 17 seats in the district of North 24 Parganas and 9 seats in the district of Nadia. Again, elections are being conducted in the 9 seats of Uttar Dinajpur and 8 seats of Purba Bardhaman district.
More than 1.03 crore voters are likely to cast their votes today and decide the fate of nearly 306 political candidates in this particular phase of the elections.
Of the total number of voters in the state, 53.21 lakh voters are men, 50.65 lakh voters are women while the remaining 256 voters are from the third gender. The Election Commission has planned to deploy as many as 1,071 companies of the Central security forces in the WB Assembly Election’s sixth phase in order to ensure fair and free voting.
