The Royal Challengers Bangalore Team registered a ringing victory against the Mumbai Indians in Dubai yesterday. The RCB left the Mumbai team behind by 54 runs and in the process got back into the squad of winning teams.

Some of the biggest contributors in RCB’s very comprehensive victory against MI were Glenn Maxwell with his super all round show (56 off 37 balls and 2/23), Harshal Patel the super bowling  hat-trick man (4/17) and Yuzvendra Chahal (3/11) the most economical bowler who gave away just 11 runs in his four overs.

At the end of Sunday’s match, RCB has managed to put up 12 points from 10 matches and is now ensconced comfortably at position number 3 on the IPL Points table, while MI has got pushed down to the 7th position having secured 8 points after playing 10 matches.

A gushing captain of the RCB team, Virat Kohli said after the match, “Very happy and especially the way we won. It was a difficult start with the loss of Devdutt Padikkal in the second over. The way Jasprit [Bumrah] bowled that over, totally set the game up for MI. It was important from thereon for us to stamp our presence in the game and take a little bit of risk.”

KOhli added, “I got off to a good start and KS Bharat took the pressure off me, Maxwell’s innings was unbelievable as well. I thought we got par, 166 is par here, still felt like 10-15 more with the way we bowled. 8 for 30 was unbelievable against such a strong batting line-up.”
