Highlights from the IPL 2021 match between CSK and PBKS: KL With a six-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings maintained their prospects of making the Playoffs alive. Rahul hit his 27th half-century in the IPL and remained unbeaten on 98 off 42 balls. Rahul smashed seven fours and eight sixes, and he and Mayank Agarwal got PBKS off to a flying start, putting up 46 runs in 4.3 overs. Mayank and Sarfaraz Khan (0) were both bowled in the same over by Shardul Thakur, giving Chennai Super Kings two fast wickets.

Faf du Plessis' 46-ball fifty was one of his slowest in the IPL, but it gave CSK some breathing room following a string of wickets. CSK advanced in the last overs thanks to a fifty-run partnership between du Plessis and Jadeja. He was eventually dismissed for 76 runs off 55 balls, however he helped CSK reach a total of 134/6 against Punjab Kings. CSK were 30/2 at the end of the Powerplay after Arshdeep Singh made two crucial breakthroughs for PBKS. Gaikwad scored 14 before being bowled by Arshdeep, who had Moeen Ali nicking to the wicketkeeper when he top edged a pull. After that, Chris Jordan struck in his first over to dismiss Robin Uthappa.
