Lidder River

This is the iconic tourist attraction of Pahalgam. It’s a must-visit sightseeing spot allowing you to relax and bask in the glory of tranquil nature. The region is home to a couple of extraordinary fishing trails where you can catch fishes like brown trout. The fishing season here starts in the month of April and continues till September. Fishing permits for fishing at the Lidder River are issued for a maximum period of 3 days at a time and are made available on a first-come-first-served basis. To get the fishing permits you need to connect to the Directorate of Fisheries, Tourist Reception Centre, Srinagar.

Sheshnag Lake

This pristine, turquoise lake is located at a distance of 23kms from the hamlet of Pahalgam and falls on the Pahalgam to Amarnath route.  The lake is perched in the midst of alpine meadows and lofty snowy peaks. The environs around Sheshnag Lake are absolutely serene. Trekkers and die-hard nature lovers are fond of this place. Also, the lake holds immense religious significance as it is still believed by many to be an abode of the mythical snake, Sheshnag.

Pahalgam golf course
